Midland, Texas - what the heck is that?

It's a bug - part of the tick family. On the ground it looks like a piece of velvet.

So you're asking - why is someone holding a tick? Apparently it doesn't bite humans or animals - just put on the planet to look cool.

It's a puppy (a pit bull). Cute right? She's not showing you her razor sharp teeth.

So, I have no pictures of my best friend from high school Patty and her family, just a dog and a tick - but it was a very relaxing couple of days.
