This is an interesting shot - the lake is actually in the distance, just on the horizon. Normally you don't see that "midland" past the pier - it is SO LOW. It has been a very dry summer. Where's a good hurricane when you need it (wow, that was not a good thing to say - scratch that)

It's good to be home

It really is, I've been on a couple of job interviews so I'm sure I'll be finding my new school very soon. I've found a new place to study, learn, and expess myself. As much as I love El Paso and the southwest, just look at our cows.........

Linus goes to the doctor

This is not Linus. This is what a Blue-Crowned Conure is supposed to look like.

I've been gone for a month and he's got some kind of parasite. I was surfing the symptoms and recognized he had to go to the doctor. He looks terrible....I was most impressed with Glenn's ability to get him into the little travel cage. He obviously felt terrible and Glenn's approach really took alot of the pressure of the whole trip off his little shoulders. $160 later, it's antibiotics (ever tried to accomplish this?) and a different diet.

One short week later he's doing much better.

A visit with "Princess"

One of my very favorite people.....Debbie!! Just back from training to be a yoga instructor, she embodies balance and spirituality. A short but great visit.

Just like Grandmas

Remember "Perfect"? Well, El Paso makes the best Mexican food and her enchilada sauce is just fantastic. I brought chilis home from Texas and offered to make Glenn some enchiladas - he happily said "Yes" and then proceeded to comment that they would not be as good as Grandma's. They're just as good as Grandma's. (Duh, I use her recipe)

So, I'm getting a bit frustrated because my posts are usually laden with pictures. I haven't posted, not because my life has just quit, because I can't find the stinkin' cord to my camera to download my most recent pictures for my blog - currently being held captive in my camera.
